Please understand before you get a rabbit that they are a LOT of work. You can’t just simply keep them in a cage. They are not a mouse, they are not a hamster, and they are not a guinea pig. They don’t belong outside, either. Rabbits require a lot of love, attention, and room to do binkies! Before you adopt one of our rabbits, we will make sure you understand what responsibilities you will have as a rabbit owner. We will let you know everything you need and answer any questions you might have!
For more information please check out our HELPFUL INFORMATION page on this website. -
All of these services will be available to you after you adopt from us! You will have constant support and will never have to be unsure about what you’re doing. We’re here to help and ensure that you and your rabbit are happy!

Who We Are ❤️
Our founder is ONE PERSON who is an uncompensated volunteer, grass roots, boots-on-the-ground rescuer who exclusively rescues domestic rabbits that have been cruelly abandoned at parks, gold courses, schools, fitness trails, and other outdoor locations. We are located in Riverside County, Lake Elsinore, California.
How We Started!
“ I am often asked how I began rescuing rabbits. I rescued my first rabbit, Cinnabun, in my prior neighborhood near Creek Park in La Mirada in 2005. There were always stray cats around that I rescued and kept, adopted out, or transferred to a cat rescue group. However, when I noticed/rescued rabbits being dumped at the park, I wasn’t able to get them into a rabbit rescue. There are so few rabbit rescues in SoCal compared to cat rescues. Thus, Kribs For Kritters was born.
The rabbit dumping/rescuing really intensified in 2012 and I was caring for about 30 rabbits at that time in La Mirada. I moved to Lake Elsinore in 2016 and continued rescuing rabbits full-time.
Immediately upon moving to Lake Elsinore, I began assisting with the 500+ rabbit rescue project in Huntington Beach at Golden View Elementary School until completion. In March 2018, I began the two-year process of rescuing 200+ rabbits from Rynerson Park in Lakewood.
How do I know about all these dumped rabbits you ask? I am notified by: Good Samaritans, referrals by other rescues, internet searches, prior adopters, social media, etc.
Today, the rescue averages 100+ rabbits at all times. I wish the number was lower, but the need is tremendous.
I pretty much run the rescue by myself and I enjoy working solo. I do have laundry volunteers and occasional cleaning help as needed.”
